Environmental Policy
Our commitments
We are committed to continuously improve our environmental performance and prevent pollution by:
- Complying with relevant legislation, regulations and other relevant requirements;
- Implementing a simple, actionable Environmental Management System to make our working environment cleaner, more sustainable and save money;
- Measuring our energy consumption in order to make fact-based decisions;
- Incorporating the environmental impacts into more of our decision-making;
- Investing in carbon efficient vehicles as and when existing vehicles are replaced;
- Encouraging the use of less polluting forms of transport whenever possible. For example, rail instead of flight;
- Employ staff and contractors across the UK, where economically practical, in order to be local to our customers and reduce our business transport requirements;
- Minimising the amount of waste produce through reduction, recovery and recycling;
- Choose office consumables which contain biodegradable chemicals and minimise use of solvents;
- Educating staff so that they carry out their activities in an environmentally responsible manner;
- Regularly reviewing our environmental management system;
- Publishing an environmental report on our progress on an annual basis;
- Developing a relationship with suppliers and c ontractors so that we all recognize our environmental responsibilities;
- Setting realistic targets for each of our most significant environmental impacts shown below.
Our most significant adverse environmental impacts are:
- Greenhouse gas emissions from the use of fossil fuels for our transport requirements to customer sites and to our offices;
- Production of waste in the office and installation sites; and
- Indirectly, the environmental impact of our contractors, suppliers and consultants delivering services on our behalf
