Solar Control Window Film Liverpool

About the Project

Project Type:
Golf Club, Liverpool
Project Scale:
115 square metres of windows
Clear Solar Control Film

Following an extensive refurbishment of the Clubhouse that cost more than 2 million pounds, the Club's Committee was looking for a solution to alleviate the build-up of solar heat coming through the building's large west facing windows. The problem was worsened by poor ventilation in the affected areas and lack of an air-conditioning system.

Shutters and air conditioning have been considered as potential solutions but dismissed in favour of the window film because of their shortcomings. The shutters would have obstructed the view on the golf course, while the air conditioning wouldn't have been as environmentally friendly as the window film. Additionally, the air conditioning wouldn't have prevented the fading of the furnishings due to UV radiation, which was a major concern for the Club's Committee who wanted to ensure that the Club's brand new furnishings and memorabilia were properly preserved.

The solar control window film chosen for this application is the most advanced solar window film within our product range. Constructed using exotic metals this unique film ensures high heat rejection while maximizing the daylight entering through the windows. The film can reduce fading of furnishings, flooring and artworks by more than 50% and will not noticeably increase window reflection inside or outside, day or night.
